Our Global Workers Anna and Elliott Mission Focus I am on our Mobilization Team working with young adults pursuing their role in God's global purpose. My role includes meeting and coaching young adults in their best next step in missions, as well as working with our VP over Mobilization and Strategic Partnerships on strategic projects. The balance of relational and administrative work fits well into my giftings. Working in a virtual workplace has its challenges but my church community and local mobilization work helps to overcome those challenges. It is such a blessing to be a part of seeing God's Name proclaimed among the nations. Testimony I grew up going to Grace Community Chapel and was involved in children's ministry and youth group through high school. Grace helped to build a foundation for my faith. However, it wasn't until college that I fully began to take my faith as my own and explore God's global purpose for us. I pursued international ministry opportunities in Honduras, Peru, Dominican Republic, and South Asia. These experiences showed me the true heart of God for His people. He truly desires relationship and love with all peoples. Seeing an area of the world with little to no access to the story of Jesus broke my heart and stirred a desire to play a role in that. I pursued a job as a mobilizer in order to help others pursue these passions and share my experiences with them. I also hope to pursue living overseas in an unreached area in the future, but am following God's leading. Back to Global Workers

Our Global Workers Steve & Nancy Huerd CRU Mission Focus Steve and Nancy serve with Cru’s High School Ministry, primarily within Human Resources, where they help full-time staff, part-time staff, and interns grow and thrive in their ministry roles. As Director of Ministry Partner Development, Steve coaches staff and equips them to be fully funded and effective in fundraising. He works to ensure that all staff—whether serving on campus or in support roles—have the financial resources they need to carry out their work. He also remains actively engaged in student ministry at Toho High School. Nancy serves as the summer assignment coordinator and an application evaluator for the High School Ministry. Each year, she helps place over 100 staff members on mission trips around the world, connecting them with summer assignments that challenge and develop their faith and leadership. Testimony Steve's Testimony Growing up in Minnesota, I did not attend church and was sincerely searching for the truth. During my sophomore year in high school, I became a Christ follower as the result of a large outreach presented by Student Venture (Cru’s High School Ministry). I became a student leader in this movement, reaching many of my peers with the gospel. Because God had changed my life so much, instinctively, I knew God had called me to join Cru even before graduating from high school. Nancy's Testimony I grew up going to church. In second grade, I told our pastor I wanted to become a Christian and be baptized. My real motivation was because my best friend had done it and I wanted to be like her. However, something was always missing, so I put much effort into excelling in grades, sports, being a good person and thought this would please God. However, as a junior in high school we lost the state basketball championship and God used that to humble me and see my need for Him. The next day I went forward at my church saying I wanted to rededicate my life to God, but this is really when I became a Christian. Later as an adult while attending Grace Community Chapel, I realized I needed to get baptized as a true believer in the Lord. I was baptized by Pastor Miller. Back to Global Workers

VOLUNTEER Conference Volunteer Details Thank you for you interest in volunteering at the 2024 Together Marriage Conference. Please note that volunteer spots are for those who regularly attend Grace Community Chapel and will be accepted accordingly. Below are descriptions of the teams we will need help in. Please read through the descriptions and their time commitments. The times are general expectations but can change according to team manager’s discretion and need. Volunteering Opportunities: Security & Ushering Team (need 12-15 people): Ensure the safety and efficient movement of people throughout the event. Team members will need to be hospitable in greeting all who enter, while being aware and vigilant as needs may occur such as (but not limited to): All volunteers will be required to attend an orientation meeting the weekend prior to the event (more information to come). France Short-Term Opportunity Pray for our Prayer Team Our France team leaves January 5th for Paris and will return to St. Louis on January 16. Please pray for safe travels today, and continue to pray for the team throughout their time in France as they provide support to the Irwins in their efforts to start a new church plant. How you can pray Pray for the people of Paris, especially in the area of the new church (metro station called Gare de Lyon). Pray for the leaders of the new church, Doug and Emilee Irwin and Guillaume and Elodie Bourin (that's all we know now) and their spiritual direction in setting precedents for the new church. Pray for the six short-term team members to be effective supporters with eyes to see the needs and spiritual challenges. Prayers have been answered for the Irwins to find a place for the church to meet. Trip Details: What: Participate in local prayer for the new church plant that the Irwins are launching January 22nd. When: January 5-16 Where: Paris, France area Why: To serve and encourage the Irwins in their ministry. To provide local prayer support and possibly hand out invites about the launch of Eglise de la Rive Droite. Meet the Team With less than 2% committed followers of Jesus in France, most people in France do not even know a genuine believer. Grace missionaries, Doug and Emilee Irwin, along with their French co-leaders, have a bold vision to start a new French-speaking church, near a massive metro station near the center of Paris. Zambia: Global Training Network Who: Frank McEachron will be making this trip alone. (Not excepting applications) What: On this trip, we will teach a one-week course in Pneumatology (study of the Holy Spirit) with review of Bible study methods and Biblical preaching using a tested GTN curriculum. When: May 9 - May 18 Where: Chongwe, Zambia (central Africa) Why: Though Zambia is majority protestant Christian, many pastors, particularly in outlying areas, have no formal Biblical training. The presence of diverse unbiblical beliefs and heresies makes it difficult for pastors to effectively shepherd their congregations. DONATE NOW!
