Sunday Adult Classes
New Summer Classes
June 7 - July 19
The following classes will be offered for six weeks early this summer. Registration has closed for these classes. In early July, registration will begin for a new session of classes that will take place July 26-August 30.
9:50 AM
Leviticus — Sacrifice and Purity (read and discuss format)
A study of Leviticus chapters 1–16 and a contextual front-to-back expedition through the book of Leviticus.
Bring a Bible and a willingness to participate if you can.
Led by Joseph Bieber
2 Peter — How We Resist False Teaching (media discussion format)
Video presentation (Kyle Idleman) on recognizing false teaching.
Can we trust Scripture? Why is God taking so long to set everything right? What should Christians focus on in the meantime? Confusion about how and why God acts the way He does has always troubled the church. That’s why the apostle Peter warned the early church about patterns of false teaching that could lure people away from trusting in God.
Led by James Jolliff and Jerome Hall
Daniel — Thriving in Babylon (media discussion format)
Video presentation (Larry Osborne) on living faithfully in a spiritually hostile culture.
These are confusing times for many Christians. Traditional biblical values are not only rejected; it’s all happened at warp speed, leaving many of us spiritually and culturally disoriented or even fearful, frustrated, and angry. How can we spiritually survive in an increasingly spiritually hostile environment?
Led by Chris Hackworth
11:15 AM
Teaching to Change Lives (workshop format)
A workshop for sharpening the skills of teachers, leaders, or facilitators.
Learn how to engage the Word of God through observation, interpretation, and application, and how to present the Word of God through the "Hook, Book, Look, Took" approach.
You will enjoy the explanation, exploration, and practice of principles that will be helpful in working with any age group and in any presentation format. A $5 fee will be collected for the class book as part of the online registration process.
Led by Dan Cheek and Dair Hileman
Feel free to contact the church office if you have questions.
