Presenting Students Mature in Christ

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

- Col 1:28

Maturity in Christ means Christlikeness. We value Christlikeness in all areas of life which we've summed up in four words:

  • Humility: "It's not about me." We are dedicated to teaching students to deny themselves, pick up their cross daily, and follow Jesus. (Philippians 2:1-11)

  • Hospitality: "It's about them." We are dedicated to teaching students to behave in such a way that every stranger can be treated like a neighbor. (Luke 10:25-37)

  • Love: "It's about 'us'." We are dedicated to teaching students to think with a "we first" mentality, not a "me first" mentality. To participate in youth group and to encourage others before trying to be encouraged themselves. (John 13:34)

  • Devotion: "It's about Him." We are dedicated to teaching students not merely about God, but to know God and how to seek Him out for the rest of their lives. Our goal is not to just give information about God, but to build lifelong disciples. (Luke 9:23-25)

Growing in Faith Through Catechism

Our Middle School and High School Sunday School is starting Catechism lessons—a time-honored way of learning core Christian beliefs. The word catechism comes from a Greek term meaning "to instruct" or "to teach," and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing!

Each week, students will explore key questions about faith, memorize foundational truths, and engage in meaningful discussions. Through this interactive approach, they’ll build a strong understanding of what we believe and why it matters.
