(high school and up) Sunday, June 23 11:15 am | Room 110 RSVP RSVP by the Friday before Next Steps Statement Of Faith Our Statement of Faith at GCC 1. We believe the sixty-six books of the Bible to be the only inspired, authoritative Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21) 2. We believe that there is one God , the Creator, eternally existent in three Persons–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–each having the same essence and attributes. (2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19) 3. We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man in indivisible union. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary atonement through His shed blood, His death and bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future bodily return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14; Philippians 2:6-8; 1 Timothy 3:16; Revelation 19:11-16; I Corinthians 15:1-8) 4. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, baptizes and seals all believers at the moment of their salvation, filling them as they yield to Him with the goal of conforming them to the image of Christ. (Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 12:13; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18) 5. We believe salvation is a gift of God received through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone and His sacrifice for sin. We believe that a person is justified by grace through faith apart from works and that all true believers have eternal life. Saving faith includes repentance, which is a change of mind about sin and the need for Jesus as Savior. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; I John 5:10-13; Mark 1:15) 6. We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head. (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19-22) 7. We believe that water baptism and *Communion are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. (Acts 8:12; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28) 8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting glory in heaven with God and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment in hell apart from God. (2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 22:3-5, 20:15; Daniel 12:2) *Communion is open to all who have trusted Christ as Savior whether members of Grace or not and is observed on the first Sunday of each month. Our Commitment G.R.A.C.E I submit myself to the care and the authority of the biblically qualified elders that God has placed over GCC. In joining with GCC, and walking in dependence upon the Holy Spirit, I will strive to do the following: Proclaim Jesus and Pursue Maturity in Him. Grow Spiritually I will pursue a pattern of progressive transformation into the image of Jesus, understanding that spiritual growth is my personal responsibility. John 15:1-17 | 2 Peter 1:3-11 | Ephesians 4:14-15 Reproduce Intentionally I will see God-given potential in others and use my gifts, experiences, and resources to participate in their spiritual development. 1 Corinthians 11:1 | 1 Thessalonians 5:11-15 | 2 Timothy 2:1-7 Advance the Gospel I will leverage my opportunities to live and proclaim salvation by grace through faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 28:18-20 |Romans 10:13-15 | 1 Peter 3:13-17 Connect in Worship I will unite with the church body, offering my whole self as an act of submission and commitment to the glory of God. Romans 12:1 | 1 Corinthians 12:21-27 |Hebrew 10:19-25, 13:15-17 Engage in Service I will maintain a servant’s heart as I regularly contribute to the body of Christ in spiritual and practical ways. Ron and Mary Bennett Serving with The Navigators Phone: 719-598-1212 Website: navigators.org Address: The Navigators 3820N 30th Colorado Springs, CO 80934 Birthday: Ron: September 23 Mary: March 7 Mission Focus The Navigator Calling is to advance the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. Navigator motto: Know Christ and make Him known Our personal mission statement is to develop and coach disciples who make disciples. Our greatest blessing is to see generations of disciples living as ambassadors in their world. The challenge is finding and developing disciples who are willing and able to pass on their lives to a new generation. Ron mentors and shepherds a network of disciplemakers and disciplemaking leaders across the country. Many of the men lead disciplemaking ministries of their own. He also speaks at men’s retreats. Testimony Ron's Testimony I came to faith in Christ through the influence of my church and parents. I was discipled and mentored while studying at Iowa State University in the 1960s. I learned how to walk with Christ and share Him with others. I became infected with the vision of the Great Commission carried out by ordinary people in the marketplace. In 1970, I was invited to join Navigators and develop disciple-making ministries among university students. That was the beginning of over 50 years with Navigators in various leadership roles focused on our calling. Mary's Testimony I was raised in a solid Christian church and home. But in high school, I finally understood the gospel and put my faith in Christ. As a student at Western Michigan University, I became involved with Navigators and was mentored to follow Christ wholeheartedly. I also caught the vision of making disciples who would make disciples. After marriage, I continued to disciple women alongside Ron and his ministry. Previous Jabe & Elena Barker Philippine Schools Next Scott & Jayne Cuidon Global Missionary Counseling

For many years, Lee served as pastor of Payson Bible Church and more recently as the Field Leader for the Utah/Idaho region. Currently his ministry also includes working on field policies, recruiting ministry leaders, preaching, and writing. His wife and ministry partner, Diana, passed in January 2022 and Lee is adjusting to ministry without her wisdom and communication. We praise God for Lee’s strong faith and his commitment to continue ministry. Pray for Lee and his eight adult children as the family continues to adjust to life without Diana. Testimony Lee's Testimony As a child my parents took us to a liberal church. My older brother grew restless and sought out a Bible-teaching church. At the age of nine I heard the gospel and approached the pastor about being saved. By God's grace He has held me through days of obedience and rebellion, complacency and devotion. I have been given grace and blessings entirely out of proportion to my sin and dullness. I studied music at Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music with primary focus on Bible. I have served in churches in Missouri, California, and Utah. Diana and I were married in 1983 and have eight children. Update: Diana Jean Whitworth entered the joy set before her on January 8, 2022, after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Please join Grace Community Chapel in praying for Diana's family during this difficult time. The family asks that instead of flowers, charitable gifts would be designated to Provo Bible Church for the church's evangelistic outreach ministry. Sunday Discipleship Communities Sunday Discipleship Communities Sundays @ 9:50 am March 17 – May 19, 2024 Registration is now closed . SPRING 2024 CLASSES Daniel – A Believer in an Unbelieving World Outsider. Different. Separate. As Christians, these are words we may use to describe how we feel as we exist in a world that is not our home. Sometimes we may feel like foreigners, even when we are around a group of our family and friends. The Old Testament hero, Daniel, probably felt the same way. He was a God-fearing Israelite in the service of one of the most powerful Gentile kings of his day, and his behaviors and habits in some very difficult situations can serve as examples of how we can live in a God-honoring way and be a light to others. Join us for this study of the book of Daniel, where we will examine the first six chapters to better understand how we should live as believers in an unbelieving world. Teacher: Randy Barton Location: Adult Central SHAPE Did God give you a special ability when you became a believer? According to the Bible, the answer to this question is “yes.” This God-given ability is referred to as your spiritual gift. And it is our desire at Grace for every believer to become acquainted with, and to exercise, their spiritual gift(s) in order to honor the will of God and satisfy our GRACE commitment to Engage in Service. This class will help you discover your unique SHAPE: Your S piritual gift(s), through an examination of your H eart’s desire (passion), A bilities, P ersonality, and E xperiences as a means of guiding you into meaningful ministry for His Kingdom. Teachers: Dan Cheek & Bill Jones Location: Room 108 Sharing Jesus Does sharing your faith feel intimidating - with too much to remember, the pressure to get it right, and the fear of rejection? If you are like most Christians, your answer to these questions would likely be “yes.” With this in mind, Sharing Jesus (without freaking out) offers a workshop-oriented structure in which class participants have an opportunity to learn and practice strategies that are designed to equip and encourage them to engage in faith-sharing activities within their Jerusalem and beyond.
