Kids Musical

Key Dates/Info:

Auditions for Parts/Solos:
Sunday, May 21: 11:30a - 1:30p: Worship Arts Room
Monday, May 22: 6:00p - 8:00p: Adult Central


Music & Drama Camp:
July 24 - 28: 9:00a - 3:00p (Lead Roles & Soloists MUST attend all week)
Supplemental Dates for Solos & Lead Parts (at least 1 REQUIRED; both strongly suggested)
July 9: 2:30p - 4p
July 16: 2:30p - 4p

 

Performance:
Friday, July 28 @ 7p

Camp Week:

Dress Code:

  • Play clothes (please no skirts for girls)

  • Tennis shoes (NO WHEELS)
     

Lead Roles/Soloists/Speaking Parts: All parts (solos, lines, music, etc) need to be learned and memorized PRIOR to the start of camp. We will not be using camp time to teach lyrics, lines, or solos.

 

Chorus:

  • Please make sure your child knows the music before camp week

  • We will be using this week to learn choreography, fine tuning things, and how to be on stage; not teaching music

  • When practicing, please remind your child to practice only their parts and not sing along with solos/parts that are not theirs
     

Lunch:

  • Lunch will NOT be provided except for Friday, July 28 when we will have a pizza party. If your child has any allergies or is unable to eat pizza, please provide lunch for them on Friday. 

  • Please make sure to pack them enough food so they feel full. 

  • There is no refrigeration or microwave available.
     

Water:

  • Provide a reusable water bottle with their name on it. We will provide them with opportunities to get drinks and refill them.
     

 

Snacks:

  • Kids will be provided with one snack per day. If your child has any specific food allergies that would prevent them from having the provided snack, please provide them with one simple, and easily consumable snack.
     

 

Drop Off/Pick Up:

  • Your child will be required to be checked in on one of the iPads and wear their name-tag throughout the day.

  • Your child will only be released to you with a matching claim tag

Listening Tracks:

A spectacular musical telling the story of the adventures of Danny & the Shacks in Babylon! The musical theater-type story is told with narrators and actors in modern clothing, playing all the parts.

Black sweatpants or joggers (no leggings)
Provided t-shirt (inc. with registration fee)
Tennis shoes (no wheels or lights)
