Where: Camp Barnabas | Purdy, MO

About Camp Barnabas: Camp Barnabas is a ministry in Southwest Missouri dedicated to providing a unique Christian summer camp experience to individuals with special needs, their siblings, and youth from across the United States. It’s a summer full of fishing, canoeing, archery, ziplining, swimming, mini-golf, and so much more.

We want our Campers to have a summer just like everyone else because, for most of the year, our Campers are on the outside. They spend their year adapting and making modifications to their lives and routines in order to function in the world around them. At Camp Barnabas, we want our Campers to feel limitless. We want to create a place where they can feel the freedom to be who they were designed to be.

When: June 27-July 3, 2026.

How much: $350-$400

Camper Scholarship Opportunity

Last summer, GCC Global sent a short-term team to Camp Barnabas. Thanks to generous giving, more funds were raised than were needed, and the Missions Board has approved using the remaining amount to provide camper scholarships. If you know a family with a child, teen, or adult with a disability who would enjoy a week at a camp designed just for them, you can invite them to apply for a scholarship by sending them here for details and the link to the application. (Priority will be given to individuals with a direct connection to GCC.)

Campers do not need to attend Camp Barnabas the same week as the short-term team and may choose any available session. Each week of camp is designed with different groups in mind, so check out the website for more information. campbarnabas.org
