THE PROSTITUTE AT THE FEET OF JESUS
The Bible is full of incredible stories of broken people being made whole through God's merciful and healing touch, but it is hard to find a story more powerful than the sinful woman who anoints the feet of Jesus. We don't know that much about her, other than that the Bible tells us she "lived a sinful life." Whatever that means (it is widely believed that she may have been a prostitute), we do know this about her: She was completely broken and overwhelmed by the significance of her sin. And in her deep brokenness, she falls at the feet of Jesus and does one of the most humble and beautiful things imaginable: She wets His feet with her tears, dries them with her hair and kisses them, then anoints His feet with costly perfume. Now the Bible tells us that this sacred scene unfolds in the home of a Pharisee whom Jesus was eating dinner with. In other words, she was surrounded by people who despised her passionately and judged her harshly. Except one. Full of deep compassion for her, Jesus tenderly and lovingly speaks forgiveness and peace into her life. The woman who came into the house a broken, sinful prostitute left the house a pure, righteous, and spiritually-whole follower of Jesus.

Right now you may be saying to yourself, "Well, how does this relate to me? I've never done something as bad as a prostitute." The truth is, we're all sinners, and whether you like it or not, that makes us no different from the prostitute in this story. The only thing that might make us different from her is how broken we are by our sin. Sadly, many Christians are often numb to their sin, so on the outside they might say they're sorry for their sin, but on the inside there is no real brokenness or desire to repent. Instead of falling at the feet of Jesus in sorrow for their sin, they flippantly throw up a quick prayer asking for God's forgiveness. If you know in your heart that this describes you, then go to God in prayer right now and ask Him to forgive you for not taking your sin seriously. Ask Him to give you a deep brokenness for your sin that leads to repentance and humility. And finally, ask Him to give you a hunger and thirst for righteousness. The work God did in the heart of the prostitute transformed her life, and He can and will do the same work in your heart. Fall at the feet of Jesus today!

A new session of Piloga Classes, a new day, a new time, a new location! Session 6 of our FREE Community Piloga Class will begin on Monday, October 20 at 8 p.m. You are invited to join us for this low-impact class for all ages and fitness levels. Piloga focuses on attaining longer muscles, a flatter stomach, better balance and posture and a greater flexibility. Park on the upper lot by the main entrance to the church. Signs will direct you to the location of the class.

Hey Summer Camp Students! You and your families are invited to celebrate your COLLISION with Jesus at Camp Cloverpoint this year by joining us for Camp Night on Sunday night, August 17th from 7:00-9:00 PM. This year's Camp Night will be at Chapel Of The Lake in Lake St. Louis. Come for some great worship, testimonies, a look back on what God taught us, and a slide-show of camp pictures. 1000 people came to enjoy games, and food, and prizes, and music, and . . . . did we mention sand sculpting? That’s right! World Champion Sand Sculptor, Dan Belcher was here and created a fantastic eagle! See the pictures below and if you're in St. Peters, stop by and see it any time. It's still here! We're located on Mexico Road one mile west of Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters, MO. You can't miss it if you drive by!

ARA was created to help hurting women and their families overcome the pain and after-effects of abortion. Our hope is to see all women be spiritually and emotionally healed so that they become free to really enjoy life! Our program includes:
- An opportunity to connect with other women who have experienced your pain
– A 12 week Bible study for healing and closure
– Mentoring and counseling as needed
– The chance to share your heart in a safe, anonymous setting

Prayer Room Open All Day On May 1st

In conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, there will be a contemplative prayer room open in the youth room downstairs from 8:00AM – 10:00PM on Thursday, May 1st. Everyone is welcome to come and be refreshed through prayer, confession, and worship. There are several prayer stations inspired by the Old Testament Tabernacle, plus a place to rest at the foot of the cross in the stillness of God's presence. Please come and spend as much time as you need to be spiritually renewed!
