Students: Last month you were challenged to be a revolutionary by living for Jesus radically, no matter the cost. Let's be honest here: Living for Jesus radically will cost you. In fact, it will probably cost you a lot. Taking a visible and active stand for God's truth, righteousness, love, and justice in your world (school, work, friends, home, etc.) will be hard. You may be rejected by friends, you may be called names, you may even get beat up, but take heart. In 1 Peter 4:14-16, it says: If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you…However if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. Did you catch that? The Scriptures say that we are blessed when we are insulted for following Jesus. So the next time things get rough because you're following Jesus, praise God that you bear Christ's name and know that you are blessed. He will give you the strength to keep going!
