There is not much new that hasn't already been said before about the Death of Christ. Yet Biblical scholars continually try to say or do something different than the last scholar said or did.
As Pastor Hileman continues through John's Gospel with John 19:23-30 as his text, he touches on the recent news events concerning the so-called "gospel of Judas" and explains the non-significance of this find.
The important thing to remember about the Death of Christ is what He has done on the cross, and His completion of the work He was sent here to do. With one act, Jesus declared His work to be finished. His Death cry was "Tetelestai" in the greek, or "it is finished", and thereby providing the only way for the salvation of lost sinners.
