As I talk and interact with various students, it's obvious to me that many of us are dealing with some serious hurts and struggles.  Here is some scripture that we can all find hope in.  I know I do when I'm hurting:  Psalm 34:17-18 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."As we go through tough times, we can cry out to God. He will hear us, and He will be faithful to deliver us. And even though our hearts may be broken, we can find peace and comfort in knowing that Jesus is holding us tight in the endless embrace of His unconditional love for us. Let us also pray for one another. This too can give us hope and encouragement as we know that someone who loves and cares for us is lifting us up to the One who love us the most.

Father, be with those of us who are hurting right now. May we experience Your deep and unconditional love for us in a very real way today. May we also extend that very same love to someone else who is hurting too.  Thank you for Your grace, love, and compassion. Blessed by Your name. Amen.
