So maybe you've noticed that on the walls of both our student ministries room's there's five words:
Grow
Reach
Adore
Connect
Encourage
So what's up with that, you ask?
Well here you go.
These five words represent our purpose as a student ministry, and they also represent our purpose as Christians:
To GROW in our relationship with Jesus - 2 Peter 3:18 says, "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…";
To REACH the unsaved with the Gospel of Christ - Matthew 28:19 says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…";
To ADORE God through worship and how we live our lives - Romans 12:1 says, "…offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.";
To CONNECT with other Christians for fellowship and mutual encouragement - Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together…";
And finally, to ENCOURAGE others by humbly loving and serving them - Philippians 2:3-4 says, "…but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."
So now, with God's strength, may you GROW, REACH, ADORE, CONNECT, and ENCOURAGE.
That's what it's all about!
