How long have you been at Grace on staff? I have been on staff at Grace since October, 2002
What are your hobbies outside your vocation? I enjoy playing golf on Wednesday morning with the mature ladies and I am a cyclist – ride the Katy trail on my favorite new toy(a tri-cycle)
What is your favorite Scripture? My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11
Besides the bible, what is your favorite book you’ve read? The Blue Bottle Club by Penelope J Stokes
Why is it your favorite? I could relate to the sorrow and pain of the story. It is about four strong women who made a pact during their senior year in high school and the story tells how each woman followed her dream even when life threw a wrench into her plan. They learn that God can bring beauty out of sorrow and joy out of pain.
Where did you grow up? I grew up on a farm in Pittsfield, IL I have many good and painful memories about those years
What has been your most proud accomplishment while being employed at Grace? My most proud accomplishment while being employed at Grace is the implementation of the accounting system at Grace. While there was an accounting system in place it was not producing the kind of financial reports the Boards need to make good financial decisions.
How long have you been married to your spouse? Twelve Years
What is one interesting fact you can share about you that Grace members may not yet know? I am the oldest child from a family of nine. I have four sisters and four brothers.
Tell about your conversion and about your walk with Christ. This is a question that always throws me. For as far back as I can remember Jesus was the way. Since I grew up in a home where you believed in Jesus, I guess I did not realize the part about conversion. Maybe took my faith for granted. The part that has been most exciting for me is discovering the relationship with Christ. I know that he walks beside me and has been with me thru the dark valleys as well as some of the most exciting times of my life. I can never thank him enough for all he has helped me thru.
